Win
A Win bet is a wager on a horse to finish first.
Minimum entries: 3 horses for the wager to be official.
Place
A Place bet wins if your selected horse finishes first or second.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Show
A Show bet wins if your selected horse finishes first, second, or third.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Across the Board (Win, Place & Show)
An Across the Board wager combines three separate bets on the same horse: Win, Place, and Show.
- If the horse finishes first, all three bets win.
- If the horse finishes second, the Place and Show portions win.
- If the horse finishes third, only the Show portion wins.
Exacta
An Exacta requires you to correctly select the first- and second-place finishers in the exact order.
Minimum entries: 3 horses for the wager to be official.
Exacta Box
An Exacta Box requires you to select the first- and second-place finishers in any order.
For example, if you select horses 3 and 7, the wager wins if those two horses finish first and second in either order.
Quinella
A Quinella requires you to select the first- and second-place finishers in any order.
Unlike an Exacta Box, which consists of two separate combinations, a Quinella is a single wager.
Minimum entries: 3 horses for the wager to be official.
Trifecta
A Trifecta requires you to correctly select the first three finishers in exact order.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Trifecta Box
A Trifecta Box requires you to select the first three finishers in any order.
A three-horse Trifecta Box contains six possible combinations. For example, a $2 Trifecta Box using three horses represents $12 in total action.
Superfecta
A Superfecta requires you to correctly select the first four finishers in exact order.
Minimum entries: 5 horses for the wager to be official.
If a race starts with six horses and one is scratched, there will be no Superfecta payout.
Superfecta Box
A Superfecta Box requires you to select the first four finishers in any order.
With four selected horses, there are 24 possible combinations. For example, a $2 Superfecta Box using four horses represents $48 in total action.
Daily Double
A Daily Double requires you to select the winners of two consecutive races.
The wager only wins if both selections win.
Minimum entries: 3 horses for the wager to be official.
Pick 3
A Pick 3 requires you to select the winners of three consecutive races.
Minimum entries: 3 horses for the wager to be official.
For Daily Doubles and Pick wagers, if a scratched horse results in a consolation payout issued by the track, the wager will remain in action.
Pick 4
Select the winners of four consecutive races.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Pick 5
Select the winners of five consecutive races.
Minimum entries: 5 horses for the wager to be official.
Pick 6
Select the winners of six consecutive races.
Minimum entries: 6 horses for the wager to be official.
Online-Only Parlays
Horse Racing Parlays work similarly to Sportsbook Parlays. Customers may select between 2 and 12 horses from different races, tracks, or days. The races do not need to be consecutive.
Each winning selection carries the wager forward to the next selection. If one selection loses, the entire Parlay loses.
If a selection is scratched, the Parlay is reduced by one selection. If enough selections are scratched, the wager may ultimately revert to a straight wager. A race with fewer than four horses is also treated as a scratch for Parlay purposes.
Win Parlay
All selections must win.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Place Parlay
All selections must finish first or second.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
Show Parlay
All selections must finish first, second, or third.
Minimum entries: 4 horses for the wager to be official.
